April Mood

April feels like a turning point - the days stretch out and summer beckons. This month’s mood features warm terracotta tones, paired with soft blues and earthy reds. It’s a palette that evokes sun-warmed tiles, wide open skies, and shimmering poolsides. Velvets and playful, wavy accents bring a tactile charm that bridges retro and refreshingly modern.

Used with a light touch, sky blue can lift terracotta’s warmth, keeping rooms feeling light and open. In colour theory, blue and orange sit opposite each other on the wheel; natural complements that enhance one another. It’s a reminder that contrasts - warm and cool, rustic and refined - are what bring spaces to life.
